Also, he has published five poetry chapbooks: In Dinosaur Country (Greeley, CO, Pierian Press, 1969), The Sorcerers: A Laotian Tale (Bellingham, WA, Goliards Press, 1972), The Flame Room (Tacoma, WA, The Folly Press, 1983); The Cold Irish Earth (Portland, OR, Trask House, 1993); and An Afternoon Quiet and Other Poems (Johnstown, OH, Pudding House Publications, 1998).
His memoir is Help Me to a Getaway (Salmon, 2010).
Since 1964 he has had a home in Killaspuglonane, Co. Clare, and is now living there permanently.
