John Redmond was born in Dublin in 1967.

His collections are Thumb’s Width (Manchester, Carcanet Press, 2001); and MUDe (Carcanet, 2008).
His non-fiction is How to Write a Poem (Oxford, Blackwell, 2005); and Poetry and Privacy (London, Seren, 2011).
He has edited James Liddy’s posthumous Selected Poems (Dublin, Arlen House, 2011), and is a regular reviewer of poetry.
He is a Lecturer in Creative Writing at the University of Liverpool.
