Jim Norton was born in Dublin in 1947.

He established HAIKU SPIRIT, Ireland’s international journal of haiku in 1992, and was its editor until 1997.
He was a prize-winner in the Peterloo Poets Competition 1991 and BBC Wildlife Poets 1993.
His main works are: WORDS ON THE WINDS – Haiku and Scroll-poems, with intro by Susumu Takiguchi (Portsmouth, Waning Moon Press ); DOUBLING BACK – Poems about growing up and returning to Dublin; and Pilgrim Foxes (Pilgrim Press, 2001).
He lives in Dublin
