Colette Ní Ghallchóir was born in the Donegal Gaeltacht in 1950.

She has published Idir dhá Ghleann (Baile Átha Cliath, Coiscéim, 1999); and An Chéad Chló (Gallimh, Cló Iar Chonnachta).

A primary teacher, she lives in Donegal.
