Nuala Ní Chonchúir was born in Dublin in 1970.

Her poetry collections are Tatoo : Tatú (Galway, Arlen House, 2007, previously collected as Molly’s Daughter, in ¡DIVAS! Series (Galway, Arlen House, 2003); Portrait of the Artist with a Red Car (Templar Poetry, 2009); and The Juno Charm (Cliffs of Moher, Salmon, 2011).
Her story collections are The Wind Across the Grass (Arlen House, 2004); To the World of Men, Welcome (Arlen House, 2005); and Nude (London, Salt Publishing, 2009).
Her novel is You (Dublin, New Island Books, 2010).
She has edited an anthology of Galway women writers, ¡DIVAS! A Sense of Place, (2005) and the first three titles in Arlen House’s latest women’s writing series, new writing from the west, (2005).
She won the inaugural Cúirt New Writing Prize (2004), RTÉ’s Francis Mac Manus Award (2002), the Cecil Day Lewis Award (2003), and has twice been nominated for a Hennessy Award (2001 & 2005), all for fiction.
She lives in Galway.
