Rosita Boland was born in Co Clare in 1965.
Her poetry collections are Muscle Creek (Dublin, Raven Arts Press, 1991); and Dissecting the Heart (Oldcastle, Co Meath, The Gallery Press, 2003).
She has also published two travel books, Sea Legs: Hitchhiking Around the Coast of Ireland Alone (Dublin, New Island Books, 1995); and A Secret Map of Ireland (New Island Books, 2005).
She has travelled widely, and now lives in Dublin where she works as a journalist for The Irish Times
