Eimear McBride was born in Liverpool but moved to Ireland when she was three.

She grew up in Tubbercurry, Co. Sligo and Castlebar, Co. Mayo, before moving to London aged 17 to study at The Drama Centre.

Her debut novel is A Girl is a Half-Formed Thing (Norwich, Galley Beggar Press, 2013).

She currently lives in Norwich, UK.
