Nell Regan was born in London and grew up in Dublin.

Her collections are Preparing for Spring (Galway, Arlen House, 2007/New York, Syracuse University Press, 2008); and Bound for Home (Arlen House, 2011).
She has also published a chapbook, Underworld (Belfast, Lapwing, 2004).
Among her non-fiction publications is the first biography of Helena Molony, (Female Activists, Irish Women and Change, Eds Maria Luddy and Mary Cullen, Dublin, Woodfield Press, 2001); and in the Field Day Anthlogy Vol 4. Her awards include the 2007 Dublin City Council Bursary for Literature.
A graduate of The Poets’ House, Donegal/Lancaster University, she has worked as a documentary researcher and currently teaches in Dublin.
