Owen Gallagher was born in Glasgow, Scotland, in 1949 of Irish parents. His mother was from Leitrim, his father, Donegal.
His collections are Sat Guru Snowman (UK, Peterloo Poets, 2001); and Tea with the Taliban (Middlesborough, UK, Smokestack Books, 2012)
He received an award from the London Arts Board in 2002.
He lives in London.
